Community Leaders, Press, and Elected Officials

We would like to thank everyone for their continued efforts and publicity in working to save the NJROTC unit at Stephen Decatur High School. The SDHS Alumni have created a support center/resources website at http://www.stephendecaturnjrotc.com

This site contains valuable information in the efforts to maintain the NJROTC program including press articles, support letters, contact information, and what you can do to help.

The key to saving our program is community support and conveying the value of this program to our elected officials and the US Navy. Flyers can be found on our site that you can display in your business or organization directing community members to our website. From here they will be able to get all the contact information they need to send letters of support for our program. The site also contains basic information about the NJROTC program and how it benefits its participants. We welcome and encourage organizations to link to our site.

If you have an article, letter of support, or resource that can benefit our efforts and you would like it posted on our site, please contact the Stephen Decatur NJROTC Alumni Representatives Bryan Hamilton at bhamilton_bes@yahoo.com or Elizabeth Timmons at ea.timmons@gmail.com.

Worcester County Public Schools along with Decatur Alumni are also asking for community members to post their comments on the Secretary of the Navy ‘s Facebook page at http://www.facebook.com/SecretaryoftheNavy?sk=wall Please let the Honorable Ray Mabus know that our NJROTC program at Stephen Decatur High School is making a positive difference for students and should not be eliminated.

Once again we would like to thank you for your support, the positive responses have been overwhelming, but were not done yet. We will continue in our efforts to save this valuable program for our students and community until we have extinguished all of our resources.

    Thank you

    SDHS NJROTC Alumni
